The bottom lineAda & Canyon counties, ID

Gutter cleaning in Nampa runs $60 to $210 depending on the size of your house and the length of your gutters, or $0.50 to $0.90 per linear foot, according to HomeBlue's Nampa page. That is the one published figure here that moves when the city name changes, and it went up in September 2024. The two national companies that post a Nampa gutter cleaning price, Clean Pro and Window Genie, publish identical numbers on their Boise, Denver and Atlanta pages, so those are national rate cards wearing a local label. Nationally, This Old House puts an appointment at $191 to $529 with a $360 average.

What a Nampa gutter cleaning costs

One publisher prices this job with Nampa's name on it and means it. HomeBlue puts gutter cleaning here at $60 to $210 depending on the size of your house and the length of your gutters, or $0.50 to $0.90 per linear foot. Its breakdown by house size:

HouseNampa cost
1 story, 1,500 sq ft$60-$150
2 story, 2,000 sq ft$70-$160
2-3 story, 3,000 sq ft$80-$180
2-3 story, 4,000 sq ft$90-$200
2-3 story, 5,000 sq ft$100-$210

Two caveats ride along. HomeBlue is an aggregator publishing an algorithmic estimate rather than a bid from someone who has stood in your driveway, and its Nampa page went up on September 20, 2024, which makes it the oldest local number quoted anywhere on this page. It does move by city, though: the same publisher's Boise page, posted that same day, runs a little higher at $70 to $220, or $0.60 to $1.00 per linear foot.

The Nampa pages that are not Nampa prices

Search for a local price and two national companies will hand you one with Nampa in the URL. Neither number was set here.

Clean Pro's Nampa page advertises flat-rate gutter cleaning from $249. Its Single-Story Standard tier starts at $249 to $299 for a 60 to 90 minute visit, Two-Story High-Access at $299 to $399, and Multi-Level Estate at $399 to $499 for a three to five hour job. The same tier names, dollar figures and durations sit on the company's Boise page and on its Atlanta page, both read on August 13, 2026.

Window Genie does it in sentences. Its Nampa location page estimates approximately $70 to $200 for most single-story homes spanning around 1,500 square feet with 150 linear feet of gutters, and around $100 to $250 for a two-story 2,500-square-foot home with 200 linear feet. Word for word, those sentences also appear on the franchise's Denver page and on its location pages in Wisconsin, New Jersey, Georgia, Michigan and Pennsylvania.

Both companies will quote you at those numbers, so they are worth knowing before you dial. Read them as what a national operator charges anywhere in the country, then find out what your own roofline costs.

Where those figures land against the national guides

The national cost guides bracket both ends of that spread. This Old House, updated in June 2026, puts a professional appointment between $191 and $529 with an average of $360, or $0.95 to $2.25 per linear foot. Thumbtack's data gives $163 to $333 nationally with most people paying around $233, a $98 low and a $560 high. Housecall Pro, a field-service software vendor writing for gutter contractors, has typical residential jobs at $125 to $320 and hourly rates between $50 and $100. Homewyse's January 2026 data starts at $1.10 to $1.35 per linear foot and bills a two-hour minimum, showing the unused balance as a line item you can put toward other work.

StoriesThis Old HouseThumbtackHousecall Pro

Two$180-$360$160-$300$150-$275
Three$210-$450not published$250-$400+

Two older guides sit in the same band. Fixr's page, last updated January 2025, gives a national average range of $200 to $400; the $300 it calls typical is one specific job, 150 linear feet with minimal buildup on a two-story house. Today's Homeowner, updated April 2025, tells readers to expect $125 to $250.

The add-ons that move the invoice

The base price covers the gutters. Everything else comes off a menu, and Housecall Pro publishes the contractor-side version of it: downspout flushing at $25 to $75 per downspout, heavy debris removal at $50 to $150, clearing debris off the roof at $75 to $200, minor repairs or resealing at $50 to $150, a gutter guard check or adjustment at $25 to $50, and an exterior gutter wash at $1 to $3 per linear foot.

Fixr's 2025 numbers run parallel: $50 to $100 for a clogged downspout, $50 to $150 per hour for repairs with the average repair landing at $100 to $250, and $20 to $100 for downspout work. Adding the roof to the same visit is a different order of magnitude, at $650 to $1,100 for roof and gutter cleaning together.

Two more items belong in the phone call, both from Clean Pro's national guide: $50 to $150 to pull and reinstall existing gutter guards, and a 15-30% surcharge on pitches steeper than 8/12. A steep Nampa roof wearing guards can trigger both.

How often, and why the fall visit is the one to keep

Two Treasure Valley companies that cover Nampa answer this differently. Gutters Near Me, a Boise outfit serving Nampa, Caldwell and Meridian, says most homes in Boise should have gutters cleaned at least twice a year, once in the spring and once in the fall, and calls the pre-winter cleaning critical in Boise for preventing ice dams and freeze-related blockages caused by trapped water and debris. Meridian Rain Gutters, whose service area includes Nampa, sets the floor at once per year and suggests two to three times depending on your location and the surrounding trees; its cleaning includes a complete downspout flush plus an inspection.

The weather behind that advice is measured at Boise's Gowen Field, the nearest station publishing normals, so read it as a Boise metro figure. NOAA's 1991-2020 normals there show 11.5 inches of precipitation across 89 days with precipitation, and 17.6 inches of snow a year, 5.6 of those inches falling in December. Modest totals still move water in volume: WSU Extension puts 62 gallons off a 10-foot by 10-foot patch of roof for every inch of rain. What fills the trough is closer to home. Nampa's Forestry Division maintains approximately 5,000 trees in community parks and along city streets, and that inventory stops at the property line.

What doing it yourself costs

Labor makes up about 70% of the total price of gutter cleaning, a figure This Old House credits to LeafFilter, which sells gutter guards for a living. Read it as directional. It still frames the right question, which is what a Saturday on a ladder is worth to you.

Today's Homeowner priced the kit in April 2025: extendable aluminum ladder, ladder brace, gutter scoop, eye protection, waterproof gloves, hose and nozzle, plus an optional leaf blower, for a total investment of $271 to $745, average $495. The same page tells homeowners to expect $125 to $250 to hire the work out. In year one, the equipment costs more than the crew.

The other half of the arithmetic is the ladder itself. CDC figures for 2011 counted 113 work-related ladder fall fatalities in the United States, an estimated 15,460 nonfatal injuries reported by employers that involved at least one day away from work, and an estimated 34,000 nonfatal injuries treated in emergency departments. Among construction workers, an estimated 81% of fall injuries treated in U.S. emergency departments involve a ladder.

Checking out a crew before it gets on your roof

Idaho's Division of Occupational and Professional Licenses requires contractor registration for a construction job with a dollar amount exceeding $2,000.00 in materials and labor, unless the work is exempt. One cleaning normally sits under that line; a gutter guard installation or a repair package clears it easily. DOPL spells out what unregistered work costs the contractor: no building permit, a waived right to a lien on real property, no right to sue to collect money for the work, and a misdemeanor punishable by a fine of no more than $1,000 or up to six months in county jail, or both, at the court's discretion.

Nampa adds no second layer. The city's FAQ says plainly that it does not have a city-wide business license, pointing businesses to a voluntary Business Registration program, so asking to see a Nampa license gets you a shrug. Insurance is the piece you can check yourself: the Idaho Industrial Commission runs a public Workers' Compensation Coverage Verification System that will tell you whether an Idaho employer carries coverage. Two minutes, before anyone climbs.

Questions Treasure Valley homeowners ask

How much does gutter cleaning cost in Nampa?

HomeBlue's Nampa page puts it at $60 to $210 depending on the size of your house and the length of your gutters, or $0.50 to $0.90 per linear foot. Its rows run from $60 to $150 for a one-story 1,500-square-foot house up to $100 to $210 for a 5,000-square-foot home of two or three stories. That page was published September 20, 2024, so treat it as a planning range. Nationally, This Old House puts an appointment at $191 to $529 with a $360 average.

Why does one company start at $249 when another page says $60?

Because one is an estimate and the other is a rate card with a minimum built into it. Clean Pro's national cost guide, updated April 30, 2026, states a $215 minimum service charge and puts most residential homes without gutter guards at $215 to $470 for 2026. That floor carries onto every city page the company runs, Nampa included, where flat-rate cleaning starts at $249. HomeBlue has no minimum to protect, and its $60 low end assumes a small single-story house.

How often should Nampa homeowners clean their gutters?

Twice a year is the common local answer. Gutters Near Me, a Boise company that also serves Nampa and Caldwell, says most homes in Boise should be cleaned at least twice a year, once in spring and once in fall, and calls cleaning before winter critical for preventing ice dams and freeze-related blockages. Meridian Rain Gutters, whose service area includes Nampa, says at least once per year and suggests two to three times depending on location and surrounding trees. For winter context, NOAA's 1991-2020 normals at Boise's Gowen Field show 17.6 inches of snow a year, 5.6 of those inches in December.

What add-ons show up on a gutter cleaning bill?

Housecall Pro's contractor guide lists the usual suspects: downspout flushing at $25 to $75 per downspout, heavy debris removal at $50 to $150, roof debris clearing at $75 to $200, and a gutter guard check or adjustment at $25 to $50. Fixr's January 2025 page adds $50 to $100 for a clogged downspout. Booking the roof at the same time is its own project, priced at $650 to $1,100 for roof and gutter cleaning together. Ask which of these the quoted price already includes.

Is it cheaper to clean my own gutters?

Not in the first year. Today's Homeowner priced a full DIY kit in April 2025 at $271 to $745, average $495, covering an extendable aluminum ladder, ladder brace, gutter scoop, eye protection, waterproof gloves, hose and nozzle, and an optional leaf blower. The same page puts hiring the job out at $125 to $250. Labor is roughly 70% of a professional bill, per This Old House citing LeafFilter, and that is the share you would be taking on. CDC figures for 2011 recorded 113 work-related ladder fall deaths in the United States and an estimated 34,000 nonfatal injuries treated in emergency departments, with an estimated 81% of construction fall injuries treated in EDs involving a ladder.

Does a gutter cleaner in Nampa need a license?

Idaho contractor registration is required for a construction job with a dollar amount exceeding $2,000.00 in materials and labor, unless exempt, per the Idaho Division of Occupational and Professional Licenses. A single cleaning usually falls below that; a guard installation or repair package may not. Working unregistered costs the contractor building permits, lien rights on real property, and the right to sue to collect for the work, and it is a misdemeanor carrying a fine of no more than $1,000 or up to six months in county jail. Nampa itself has no city-wide business license, only a voluntary Business Registration program, so verify workers' compensation instead through the Idaho Industrial Commission's public lookup.

Would gutter guards end the repeat cleanings?

They shift the money to the front end, and the quotes vary enormously. This Old House, drawing on its 2026 survey of 1,000 homeowners nationwide, puts gutter guard installation at $6,414 to $9,468 for 200 linear feet, roughly $40 per linear foot, with brush-style at $3,787 and micro-mesh at $8,101 over that same 200 feet. Clean Pro quotes 304 stainless micro-mesh at $22.50 per linear foot on its Nampa page, though that rate appears verbatim on its Boise and Atlanta pages too. Fixr's January 2025 range for guard installation is $2.60 to $18.50 per linear foot. Guards also carry their own service line: Clean Pro charges $50 to $150 to remove and reinstall them for a cleaning.
