Those bands overlap only at their edges, near $8. One is a contractor's own published range on its marketing site; the other is a cost-estimator page dated April 29, 2025 whose publisher describes its estimates as research that is general in nature and includes feedback provided by gutter companies. Blending them would produce a figure nobody published, so both stay on the page.

Totals follow the same pattern. This Old House prices a 200-linear-foot house between $3,000 and $6,000 professionally installed, stepping to $1,500 to $3,000 at 100 linear feet and $3,750 to $7,500 at 250. Bob Vila's typical range for the whole job is $615 to $2,348 with a national average of $1,481. The two This Old House rows in the table come from one publisher and sit roughly 2.5x apart, which is worth understanding before you compare any quote against a number you read online.

Shop this category online and you walk into a split inside a single publisher. This Old House's installation-methods guide puts professional installation at about $16 per linear foot. Its separate gutter guard installation cost page, updated July 22, 2026, prices the same job at $40 per linear foot and quotes $6,414 to $9,468 for 200 linear feet of material. Both pages were fetched on August 13, 2026 and both returned those figures, so this is a live contradiction rather than a stale cache.

The brand tables split the same way. On the installation-methods page, professionally installed brands run Homecraft $15.68 per linear foot, All-American Gutter Protection $15.77, Gutter Guards America $16.25, LeafFilter $16.31 and Leafguard $16.80.
